This piece is inspired by Chicago street culture and the iconic Chicago's Harold's Chicken. The composition features a Nike shoebox, a hand holding a piece of fried chicken, and the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Chicago Lost and Found', referencing one of the most recognizable sneaker releases connected to the city.
Layered paper elements and acrylic paint create texture and depth, bringing together sneakers, food, and urban details into a mixed-media interpretation of Chicago culture and everyday street life.
This work revisits a theme I explored last year in a Harold's Chicken painting created for the brand's 75th anniversary, with a new composition and additional layered details.
